Asylum Pride House is looking for English language tutors for our Spanish speaking clients. Our LGBTQIA+ asylum seeking clients are located in University City and range in ages from early 20's to late 30's. Training would be provided on: cultural humility working with our population, best practices for informal ESL structure, and general information on seeking asylum in the United States. What are we looking for?
- One-on-one tutoring or language exchange conversations
- Small group tutoring
- Informal class style - ideally with two volunteers

- Coffee Shops
- Common Space in our Housing Program
Who are we looking for?
- Students who have intermediate Spanish proficiency or higher
