Description

Girls on the Run(GOTR) is a sports-based youth development program serving third through eighth grade girls in Philadelphia. GOTR uses running as a platform to cultivate life skills and promote social-emotional and physical wellbeing. We are currently seeking volunteer coach mentors to support our 10-week program.

As a volunteer Mentor/Coach for Girls on the Run Philadelphia, you will:

Nurture girls’ physical, social and emotional health.
Our research-based and tested curriculum blends physical activity with critical social-emotional skill building.

Create an inclusive environment where ALL girls belong.
We believe in creating a place where every girl feels welcome.

Build girls’ confidence and self-worth.
Self-confidence begins to drop as girls receive negative and mixed messages from societal pressures and outdated gender stereotypes. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Empower girls to stand up for themselves and others.
Lessons and activities inspire girls to use their voices for good.

**No need to be a runner**
