Event: Voter Registration Drive

Date: October 11, 2022
Time: 12-2pm and 4-6pm
Location: Outside under the Mario the Dragon statue at 33rd and Market Streets
Description: Volunteers are needed to help staff the tables and also to stand across the street (outside Rec Center) to direct folks to the event. This is a non-partisan voter registration and information event. Volunteers must not engage in partisan campaigning or give advice on who to vote for. We are strictly informing folks about the voting process and encouraging them to become voters.
Sign up to:
- Set up: 11:30-12
- Staff table (sign up for 1 or 2-hour shifts between the times of 12-2p and 4-6p):
- Hand out information at table/look up info at laptops provided by Library
- Hand out information/direct folks to table (stationed on opposite corner, outside Rec Center)
- Help voters register (brief training and FAQs will be provided before you start)*
- Encourage folks to fill out sticky notes explaining why they are voting and add to poster that will hand in Lindy Center
- Generally engage people and generate enthusiasm for the voting process
- Clean up: 6-6:30
*Please indicate whether you are experienced with voter registration or need training. Instructions and “cheat sheets” will be provided for those who need it, and at least one experienced leader will be present on site for the duration of the drive.
