Overview

The Marketing Assistant will work alongside the Events and Promotion Coordinator to facilitate the advertisement and execution of all virtual events including weekly presentations of research and virtual conferences related to the Aspirational Neuroscience Prize.

In particular, they will ensure compelling marketing materials are created and effectively distributed through website, email, and social media outlets in addition to providing logistical support (e.g., recording) when needed.

Specific Duties

  • Create graphics/flyers for email and social media
  • Ensure event videos are edited for quality.
  • Maintain a weekly promotional social media and email schedule
  • Maintain weekly follow up social media and email schedule
  • Increase engagement on social media by finding followers, making unique posts, ensuring threads have follow up.
  • Assist in creating the “voice” of the Project
  • Ensure events are properly livestreamed and/or recorded.
  • Attend periodic check-ins with team and coordinate efforts
  • Determine additional promotional or press opportunities

  • Video editing
  • Video recording (e.g., OBS) a plus
  • Animation a plus
  • Image editing
  • Graphic design (e.g., Illustrator)
  • Written and verbal communication 
  • Effective interpersonal
  • Time management
  • Online communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills
  • Organization: Google Drive, Trello
  • Ability to design relevant and visibly attractive promotional content
  • Functioning knowledge of GoogleGroups, Twitter, and other social media platforms
  • CRM skills a plus
