We are looking for mentors to work with our Dream Kids! Our students are 3rd through 8th graders who are at risk of incarceration. Mentoring students in high risk communities has been shown to have an incredible impact and makes students 56% more likely to enroll in college. Mentoring relationships are a shared opportunity for learning and growth for both the mentor and mentee, while also being fun!
Our mentors meet with students one-on-one once a week for an hour during the school day or during after school hours . You will be matched with a student you connect with based on shared interests and goals. We ask our mentors to commit to meeting their mentee once a week for at least a school year. This is an extremely flexible virtual activity! Only one hour a week is enough to make a huge impact on one of our DreamKids.
