CIHE INTERNSHIP/WORK STUDY

Organization Overview:
The Cultural Institute of Health and Education (CIHE) is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality vocational training in healthcare for underserved and underprivileged communities in Philadelphia. Our programs in phlebotomy, EKG technology, and other healthcare certifications empower individuals to enter the workforce with valuable skills and career opportunities.

Position: Internship/Work-Study (Flexible Hours)

Location: Hybrid (Opportunities at CIHE training sites: 4601 Market Street, Temple University Mazur Hall, Drexel University's Dornsife Center)
Duration: Semester-based or ongoing (Flexible, depending on availability)
Compensation: Work-study funded positions available; unpaid internships may be eligible for academic credit.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to student enrollment, scheduling, and program coordination.
  • Support instructors in organizing training materials and classroom logistics.
  • Engage with students to provide guidance, resources, and mentorship during training sessions.
  • Help coordinate community outreach efforts, including health fairs, recruitment events, and partnerships.
  • Contribute to CIHE’s digital presence by assisting with content creation for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Conduct research on workforce development initiatives, healthcare trends, and student success strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of CIHE.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (preferred but not required).
  • Interest in healthcare education, workforce development, community engagement, or nonprofit work.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms is a plus.
