Who We Are

The mission of the Cultural Institute of Health and Education (CIHE) is to empower and prepare health professionals who will provide high quality, knowledge, caring and compassionate care for residents, in-patient, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, private homes, outpatient facilities and hospitals. It is our mission to prepare health education to individuals who are open minded, professional and dedicated to providing high quality care to all residents, clients and patients that they may serve.

What We Do

The Cultural Institute of Health and Education (CIHE) is a non-profit organization that provides accessible, high-quality healthcare training to underserved communities. With a goal to empower individuals and improve community health, CIHE offers life-changing educational programs that open doors to healthcare careers. Our classes are conveniently held at Drexel’s Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships at 3509 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia.

Phlebotomy Training Program 

Our Phlebotomy Training Program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in entry-level healthcare roles. The curriculum includes:

Didactic instruction on anatomy, physiology, and blood collection techniques.

Hands-on skill development in venipuncture and capillary collection.

Preparation for certification exams, ensuring students are credential-ready upon program completion.

Program Length: 8 weeks
Delivery Mode: In-person (synchronous), online (asynchronous) with hands-on skills. The classes will be held once a week for 8 weeks and be 3 hours for each meeting for a total of 24 hours.
