Who We Are

Founded in 2001, West Park Cultural Center uses arts and culture as a central tool in programs that help children and youth tap into their creative and academic potential, and where residents access the arts and education programs that contribute to their personal development.

We recognize the potential of each individual and work with patience and compassion to ensure the success of the children and families who enter our programs.

We respect the diversity of our community and believe that celebrating these differences will enhance the lives of those we serve.

We collaborate with other organizations and institutions in order to maximize resources and strengthen our ability to serve our community.

What We Do

West Park Cultural Center provides quality arts and educational programming with a focus on west Philadelphia neighborhoods. Programs took place in person at different locations including:
Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, Community Education Center (CEC), John Anderson Cultural Center, and Shofuso Japanese House and Garden.

Programming includes Camp Ginkgo, afterschool visual art, guitar, theatre writing/performance, Saturday danceLogic, photography/poetry, and our annual West Park Arts Fest in June.
