Writers Room is program at Drexel that works with the university and the surrounding community to foster a place for collaboration and social justice through the form of art.
What We Do
Writers Room has many programs such as Second Tuesday which is monthly writing workshop for all who are interested, TRIPOD, a project consisting of Drexel students, high schoolers and young adults working with elderly residents in the area to show their experiences living in Philadelphia via writing and photography. The Writing Moves: Workshops for the Bodymind is a quarterly workshop focused on writing and exercise. Finally, Connecting to Your Intentions is a quarterly workshop where participants can express their intentions by fostering a safe space for all.
