PopUpPlay

PopUpPlay transforms public and virtual spaces into temporary play zones. We mobilize the power and potential of strong engaging virtual and in person programming to build community and connect with a global audience. PopUpPlay has facilitated play and relationship development for school systems, families and community-based organizations on four continents and throughout 20 states. PopUpPlay is a Philadelphia area based company that designs active workshops and festivals. Key partners have included:

Since our founding in 2014, PopUpPlay has led city-wide Festivals of Play and developed and delivered programming for thousands of children, youth and families. PopUpPlay is passionate about the idea that people of ALL ages learn best through playful experience and hands-on practice. PopUpPlay emerged out of our combined efforts to: 

• Offer children and youth tangible experiences that enable them to become effective change-agents in their communities using skills and interests they have right now (not just when they grow up); 
• Inspire educators and families to 'risk' a more playful approach to learning; and 
• Demonstrate the power of play for both families, children, and youth participants.
