Volunteer: Youth Football Coaching and Mentoring

The Philadelphia Youth Football Academy organization is a talented and competitive program seeking an assistant coach (at each position). The coach, with the expertise of their respective position; will assist our organization with organization of practices, assist in the training, teaching, and conditioning of student-athletes. Efficient interactive and organizational skills are required. 

Coaches are needed all year round. Practices take place Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. 

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required).
* College, minor league, flag football; and professional experience is a MAJOR PLUS.
* One (1) year of coaching experience or administration duties with a football program is a plus.
* Effective interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
* Able to travel on SEPTA. Valid PA Driver's License if you possess a vehicle.
* Ability to work with diverse populations and varying athletic skill levels

Clearances
To ensure the safety of our youth, state law requires that all prospective mentors participate in a state-certified child abuse and criminal record check, and an FBI fingerprint-based background check. Coaches/mentors are not matched with students until certifications are received. In order to work with our youth, all clearance certificates must be current and in place.

Supporting preparedness programs designed to assist community members better understand and be ready for potential disasters, including home fires. Participating in HFC projects, preparedness activities, and meetings. Executing assigned projects and local preparedness activities including canvassing, fire prevention and safety education, smoke alarm installation, documentation, etc. All training, tools, and equipment provided. Working with team fulfilling smoke alarm request appointments and joining large-scale SOUND THE ALARM! events targeting specific neighborhoods. Additional related duties as discussed with supervisor, including meeting with partners and key stakeholders to build/nurture relationships, conducting inventory, managing necessary preparedness supplies, etc.

Time Commitment:

To keep doing our work, we are looking for volunteers for our Food Pantry and Elders Delivery programs. We are especially looking for volunteers with language skills in Mandarin, Spanish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Khmer and Arabic!

SEAMAAC's mission is to support and serve immigrants, refugees, and other politically, socially, and economically marginalized communities as they seek to advance the condition of their lives in the United States. Moder Patshala has various programs for children and adults. We are looking for DCCs for administrative work, including tutoring. Our programs run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
