Volunteer: Community Service Opportunity! Join the Philadelphia Continuum of Care for the 2026 Annual Point-in-Time Count!

Join us on January 28, 2026 at 10:00 PM for the 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count.

What is the Point-in-Time Count? Required by HUD, Philadelphia joins communities around the U.S. to complete a census of people experiencing homelessness. At the Point-In-Time (PIT) Count, volunteers in Philadelphia canvas the entire city to document persons experiencing unsheltered homelessness during one night in January. Data from the PIT Count helps us understand the scope of homelessness in Philadelphia, connect individuals and families with resources, plus identify trends, gaps, and service needs of those experiencing homelessness.
This important event relies on the support of volunteers. To make it a success, we need your help! There are several opportunities for individuals/corporate offices/groups to volunteer. All volunteers will be provided training so everyone is prepared to travel with their group to their designated zone and conduct the count and surveying of those experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
