Volunteer: Youth Martial Arts Volunteer

This volunteer position works with 1st-4th graders at Ryan Hall/Dornsife Center 3509 Spring Garden St. These classes provide local youth with the benefits of youth martial arts via volunteer instruction & mentorship. Self confidence, exercise, goal setting, mutual respect are among the attributes the program works toward.

In these classes students use Korean Karate/Tae Kwon Do as a foundation, then branch into a spectrum of broader martial arts study. Classes run from September through June, 2x a week for 1 hour. Volunteers are needed with both martial arts experience (to teach-mentor), or no martial experience to assist with everything from holding pads, administrative help, or developing training material.
