Description

Thank you for your interest in participating in Drexel EMS' Mass Casualty Incident Drill as a Patient Actor!

Volunteers are asked to arrive at the designated prep location (this will be sent out) at 9am on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 and to be available for the Drill's entire runtime, which will likely conclude between 2pm and 3pm. All volunteers will be provided with free lunch from Ed's Pizza and a volunteer hours validation form.
We welcome volunteers of any and all backgrounds, majors, and acting abilities to help out!

Drexel University Emergency Medical Services is a 100% volunteer student run and student operated organization. We respond to 911 calls for medical emergencies on campus and provide on-site first aid services for events hosted by the University. We also provide outreach, education, and training opportunities for Drexel students and the surrounding West Philadelphia community.

In this drill, you will participate as an actor/actress playing an injured student and you will be "treated" for your simulated injuries by certified EMT's from DUEMS. No travel is required as the simulation will occur entirely on-campus in a University owned building. DUEMS hosts Mass Casualty preparedness drills at least once a year to ensure we stay ready for any large-scale emergency incidents on campus.

Please fill out this form and we will reach out soon with more details!
