The Philadelphia Youth Football Academy organization is a talented and competitive program seeking an assistant coach (at each position). The coach, with the expertise of their respective position; will assist our organization with organization of practices, assist in the training, teaching, and conditioning of student-athletes. Efficient interactive and organizational skills are required.
Coaches are needed all year round. Practices take place Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required).
* College, minor league, flag football; and professional experience is a MAJOR PLUS.
* One (1) year of coaching experience or administration duties with a football program is a plus.
* Effective interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
* Able to travel on SEPTA. Valid PA Driver's License if you possess a vehicle.
* Ability to work with diverse populations and varying athletic skill levels
Preferred Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of football.
* Running experience of high school, college preferred.
* Passion for coaching and competing.
* Prior coaching experience and/or coaching license(s) preferred.
Clearances
To ensure the safety of our youth, state law requires that all prospective mentors participate in a state-certified child abuse and criminal record check, and an FBI fingerprint-based background check. Coaches/mentors are not matched with students until certifications are received. In order to work with our youth, all clearance certificates must be current and in place.
