Description of Position
Come join our volunteer-staffed Giving Library by organizing and inventorying our growing library. Volunteers should be ready and enthusiastic to regularly interact with the people of our community, help them find certain books, suggests books, and engage in conversation. Our Volunteer Librarians are a crucial part of our operation and the face of our Giving Library to those who are coming in for a book or dropping off a donation. Become an essential part of our Giving Library today!
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Keep appropriate records of the number of books that community members select from the library
- Track Library Foot Traffic
- Collect donations from Community Members
- Engage with Community Members as they come into the Library
- Organize and inventory books according to systems discussed at training
- Promote Tree House Books as a place to give and get books in Philadelphia
All Tree House Books Volunteers must be able to obtain the following clearances:
- Child Abuse Clearances
- Criminal Background Checks
