On May 24, 2022, the boards of Philadelphia Futures and Steppingstone Scholars voted to merge, creating one of the most dynamic, expansive, and trusted educational nonprofits in the City of Philadelphia. This vote provides a path for the joint organization to significantly scale services for students, particularly Black, Latino/a, and first-generation students, and to create sustainable access to academic and workforce opportunities.
You’ll help us to achieve:
- Rigorous educational programming and support for talented underserved students in the Philadelphia region to achieve academic success, opportunity, and a college degree.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Participating in ongoing professional development and staff meetings in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Effectively planning and executing an afterschool club; Prepare for club meetings by creating lesson plans, activities, and preparing materials.
- Facilitate research projects, planning team-building activities and opportunities to practice public speaking for students in grades 4-8
- Supervising, mentoring, and assisting an assigned group of students through curriculum
