Volunteer: Program recruiter, community liaison, and assistant

We are looking for help with our The Answer Project (TAP) program. This program is focused on helping young men 17-24 get on the path towards achieving success in their life. More information on this program can be found here.

As a program recruiter, we expect the following skills and tasks to attract qualified applicants for our The Answer Project (TAP) Program:

Networking and building/maintaining relationships with potential program applicants. Reviewing and evaluating all candidate applications. Preparing and posting job advertisements.

Community liaison soft skills are time-management skills, compassion, and problem-solving skills. As a community liaison you would handle the following:

Facilitating conversations between relevant community members. Preparing reports, correspondences, and other documents to support community updates. Maintaining confidential documents and files. Using negotiation and conflict resolution skills to resolve issues quickly.

As a program assistant we expect you to attend each of our weekly TAP sessions and be on hand to assist the site supervisor with communications and program management.

Applicant requirements: Resume or CV, Major of study and interests, Interview with site supervisor, and a signed Volunteer Code of Conduct agreement. Because you will be working with youth age 18 and over, you are not asked to submit volunteer clearances for this position with the KB Foundation.
