The Sunrise Movement Philadelphia

The Sunrise Movement is a nation-wide, youth-led movement committed to stopping the climate crisis and fighting for a world where every person has access good jobs, stable housing, clean air and water, and green community spaces. As a youth-led movement we courage students to connect with communities beyond the bounds of campus, and work towards building the people power we need to create the world we want to see.

As the Philadelphia Hub, our volunteers work to promote our local campaign, Green Spaces, Active Places, in neighborhoods across the city.
Current campaigns include advocating for City funding for Parks, Rec Centres and Libraries, community organizing in north-east Philly, and supporting the National campaign to End the Oil Oiligarchy.
