Who We Are
Philadelphia Academies, Inc. has been serving Philadelphia schools and students for over 50 years by bringing together schools, industry, and higher education to help transform and prepare high school students for in-demand careers and/or post-secondary education upon graduating high school. We are seeking volunteers (college students, community leaders, job seekers, or retired individuals) for our new Philly Tech Gateway After School Program to help with general supervision during program hours, working and building relationships with students, and community engagement. Volunteering is a great way to use your skills and passions to have a meaningful impact in the life of a student and the community as a whole.
What We Do
Philadelphia Academies, Inc. (PAI) is launching a new Afterschool Program focused on the Technology Field specifically for in-school 12th grade students that reside in West Philadelphia. This Program offers job readiness experiences, career exposure (software development, design and entrepreneurial industry) and professional development to successfully launch a career in tech through apprenticeships, employment opportunities, and/or post-secondary education. The program will be held at Drexel University’s Dornsife Center (3509 Spring Garden Street)
