James L. Wright Recreation Center

The Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation promotes the well- being of the  City, its citizens and visitors by offering beautiful natural landscapes and parks, high quality recreation centers and athletic programs, important historic resources and enriching cultural, cultivating academic awareness and mentoring our youths here at  the James Wright Recreation Center.

We provide accessible, affordable experiences and spaces for Philadelphia's.  We help our youths grow and develop;that's what we do !!!  Through the stewardship of our natural and cultural resources, the structure activities at our bustling recreation center, and the preservation of our center rich history and traditions Philadelphia Parks and Recreation connects to people to new pathways in life . 

Student Responsibilities:

We hear are seeking students to assist with basic homework tutoring. Our students' curriculum includes subjects such as; English, Math , Reading , Science (Stems) and etc.

Tutoring  responsibilities include homework help for our students and recreational activities which includes chaperoning our students for  local walking trips, field trips and  picking up and dropping off our students  when needed. 

James Wright Staff is also flexible and will accommodate all tutors and their schedules.
